He tells him about the local street artists and their #ibelieveinSherlockHolmes campaign and that it’s brilliant even though he shouldn’t think it’s brilliant, he should think it’s vandalism but his heart tells him otherwise. And on his loneliest days John brings Sherlock’s violin, and even though he can’t play, he sits there with the instrument in his hand and closes his eyes, and he’s back at 221b Baker St, and Sherlock is standing at the window composing and nothing has changed.
